Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT professional to join our team, responsible for managing and supporting our IT infrastructure and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server management, virtualization, and directory services. Key responsibilities include maintaining and securing our server environments, managing backup and recovery systems, and ensuring timely resolution of operational issues. This role requires a proactive approach to system maintenance, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively. The successful candidate will be adaptable, able to work under pressure, and committed to providing emergency support as part of a rotational on-call group. Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work independently are essential attributes for this position.

  • Oversee and support IT infrastructure operations and systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Implement, maintain, and manage all Windows and Ubuntu servers, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and running efficiently.
  • Administer and manage Active Directory, Group Policy, and related services, ensuring proper configuration and security.
  • Manage and maintain Nutanix Hypervisor clusters (VMware and AHV), ensuring virtualization environments are optimized and secure.
  • Oversee backup and recovery systems, ensuring data integrity and availability in case of system failures.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and patch management, addressing all server-related issues proactively.
  • Respond promptly to operational incidents and issues, providing effective resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in a rotational on-call for emergency support and provide timely assistance as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information and Communications Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with Microsoft servers and services, including Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, SCCM, Office 365, Azure, Intune, and related technologies.
  • Strong familiarity with hypervisor technologies, such as VMware ESXi and Nutanix Acropolis.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop effective solutions under pressure.
