Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.


Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.


The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.


Complementing our flagship outdoor wildlife parks located at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, two new nature-themed indoor attractions are currently being developed that will feature new experiences leveraging digital technology for children, youth, and young adults. 


We are looking for a self-motivated and results driven Vice President who has overall responsibility for the successful opening and operation of the two indoor attractions. The role will provide overall direction and guidance to the team while managing the day-to-day leadership and management of all aspects of operations, including business strategies and commercial activities with responsibility of financial performance.


This is a leadership position of considerable breadth and complexity, and will require a combination of strategic, out-of-the-box thinking, technical skills, the ability to plan and execute well, and the ability to communicate and collaborate across organisational boundaries. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full scope of pre-opening activities such as defining operating model, organisation structure, manpower strategy, defining servicing blueprint and operational processes.  
  •  Lead the team to deliver all aspects of operations, maximise financial performance while upholding service quality and guest experience standards, and sustainability initiatives.
  •  Establish a high performing culture and lead, coach, support and inspire your team of managers and team members to foster a guest-focused and resulted-oriented environment
  •  Direct the development and execution of the annual strategic plan, the annual budget, and operations plan, emphasizing balanced growth and achieving the triple bottom line of performance, people, and planet goals.
  • Achieve and maintain superior balanced scorecard results with a relentless pursuit of success and desire to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Responsible for the account for all business activities, increase efficiency and staff productivity, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with partners, enhance the organisation's image, and meet overall growth objectives.
  • Ensure the facilities are well maintained, safe, clean and operates smoothly day to day.
  • Manage and allocate budget resources, formulating policies, coordinate business operations, manage operational costs, ensuring good guest experience, improve administration processes, engaging with vendors, hiring and training employees, identifying business opportunities, and monitoring financial activities.

  • 15 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in leadership capacity
  • Extensive experience in leisure & tourism industry , with strong track record in opening attractions, organizational planning & development to achieve company’s commercial goals
  • An outgoing disposition, can-do attitude and hands-on approach to leadership
  • Passionate about guest experience
  • Demonstrated people leadership in building and leading strong teams
  • Strategic thinker who is able to translate strategy into execution
  • Creative problem solver who can amplify the impact of resources
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple parties and influence through persuasive verbal and written communication
  •  Advocate for wildlife conservation and sustainability
