Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

Mandai Wildlife Group advocates for biodiversity, contributes leading wildlife research, develops innovative solutions to promote living sustainably, and collaborates with conservation partners in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

The Group provides funding and in-kind support to Mandai Nature for conservation work across Southeast Asia.

Mandai Global, an entity that is part of the Group, will establish and operate new lines of business anchored in creating positive outcomes for nature and wildlife.


Reporting to the Director of the IUCN SSC Asian Species Action Partnership (ASAP) and Head of Terrestrial Species and Conservation Planning of Mandai Nature, the incumbent would undertake a Technical Coordinator role to support in the coordination of relevant meetings and workshops. This is a 2 year contract role.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare and collate information and data for the pre-regional workshop technical experts planning meeting and the regional conservation strategy workshop for ASEAN Member States (AMS) in consultation with technical experts and all AMS;

· Prepare and circulate agenda and workshop design for the pre-regional workshop and regional workshop;

· Based on results from the workshops, prepare draft of ASEAN Regional Species Conservation Action Plan with inputs from key stakeholders; 

· Coordinate with Workshop Facilitators for the pre, during, and post activities of respective workshops, as well as prepare analysis and synthesis of workshop outputs, reports and action plans; 

· Prepare and deliver relevant presentations as needed;

· Review, provide input, and finalise reports and proceedings for respective workshops including an annotated outline of the technical reports based on the discussions with the technical team; 

· Respond to queries and assist participants, as well as support ACB and other relevant stakeholders in the planning, organisation and logistics of the workshops.


Job Requirements:

· Minimum Degree, preferably in a relevant field (science, international development, public policy etc.).

· At least 5 years of work experience in roles managing multiple / regional stakeholders including work experience in regional / international environmental organisations, preferably in the ASEAN. Relevant experience in species conservation would be advantageous. 

· Experience in organising, planning, coordinating, and facilitating multi-stakeholder workshops and meetings. 

· Understanding on conservation threats, action, and challenges.

· Experience in conservation planning and strategy development would be advantageous. 

· Knowledge of relevant policies, strategies and existing ASEAN coordination mechanisms would be advantageous. 

· Fluency in English language and with strong writing, presentation, and communication skills. 

· Adept at working with international and regional partners. 

· Incumbent for this role would be based in Singapore.
